These prizewinning entries, along with selected images from the work of Annet Lingen, Asterios Saltzidis, Hans Stapnes, Maria Stella Aloupi and Stamatis Menis will be presented in an Exhibition of 42 images at Citrus, Argenti 9-11, Kambos, Chios, for three weeks from the 21st of August, 2010.
The five judges were greatly impressed by the quality of the entries, and we at Chios Nature hope you will want to go and see some of the wonderful images that were captured not only by Greek photographers, but also visitors to our islands from Denmark and Norway.
The competition was open to all. Submissions of wildlife photographs that were taken on Chios, Oinousses or Psara were invited in five different categories and in three age groups. Sadly, there were no submissions in the Junior School age group. We hope that this will be corrected in future years!
Our grateful thanks to everyone that sent in their images – we thoroughly enjoyed looking at all of them – to Mike Taylor, advisor to the Judging Panel, to our three Organising Partners, below, and to the Photographic Club of Chios for its kind support.
Enjoy the exhibition!
